Review: Pirramimma Wines – White Label Petit Verdot (2010)

White Label Petit Verdot from Pirramimma Wines

The Wine Review:

The wine is a beautiful dark-crimson red in colour. The nose is not overly strong but has hints of oak and dark fruits. Tasting it a quite a different beast, it has a wonderful amount of dark fruits driving it and has the typical McLaren Vale red body. The length is slightly short but it also be the tannins that push to the forefront in the aftertaste that “limits” the length. The tannins are firm, fine and chalky that sticks to your mouth and sucks it dry (but it’s not overly aggressive either). I wonder how it would fair with a bit more time in the bottle and let the tannins to even tone down a bit. Pity this is my one and only bottle (from 2010).
