Review: Ravensworth – Shiraz Viognier (2014)

Shiraz Viognier from Ravensworth

The Wine Review:

The wine has a translucent, crimson-purple appearance. On the nose it has strong notes of white pepper and menthol with underlying tones of tobacco and green leaves. On the palate it has savoury characteristics, a little bit meaty and leathery. It ends with crisp apple acidity and smooth tannins. This is a medium-bodied wine that would do well with gamey meats. A little lean and short but still quite drinkable and appropriately priced.
