Review: Zilzie Estate – Shiraz (2014)

Shiraz from Zilzie Estate

The Wine Review:

During my postgrad degree Zilzie was the standard “house” drink at departmental gatherings. Seeing those gold Z’s brings me back to dim lighting of Sydney Uni’s Anderson Stuart courtyard on fuzzy Friday nights. Surprisingly great aromatics. berries with an apricot tinge Red fruit, quite simple but smooth tannins ending with dark chocolate bitterness. A big hug from an old friend you fell out of contact with for years.
