Review: Shaw + Smith – M3 Chardonnay (2013)

I'm not usually one to drink Chardonnay, but this is a lovely wine that fills the nose and the mouth. Nose has strong woody overtones with a hint of peaches. Taste is bold, fruity and sweet -- almost a touch too bold, might pair well with more heavily flavoured/gamier meats than a usual white. Wine has a good length on the palate, with some complex toasted notes at the back of the palate. Overall an interesting drop, that is making me consider trying a few more Chardonnays!
