Review: Tar & Roses – Heathcote Sangiovese (2013)

Heathcote Sangiovese from Tar & Roses

The Wine Review:

Slightly darker in colour compared to the Querciabella (both submitted for Wine Assignemt #3) and also has a stronger nose. It has a little bit of leather and pepper on the nose with a hint of licorice, almost like a light cool-climate Shiraz. A medium-full body in style and fleshy in taste. Tannins are quite present and fills the mouth. Might need to have this one with food, a gamey meat maybe?
